What does “Peace” look like?
Most children would answer: “It’s quiet, calm, a pretty day the sun is shinning, no fighting, nobody hurting anyone”.
What does “Making Peace look like”?
“Shaking hands, talking to each other, being friends, smiling”
What does reading give you?
“Ideas, new things, stories, ways of doing things?
These questions are the beginning of our teaching lesson plans for a one or two hour basic class, using creative methods, and teaching conflict resolution skills promoting diversity, acceptance, openness and more in all our daily interactions.
